Nestled in the heart of Green Bay, The Booyah Shed offers an authentic taste of Wisconsin’s beloved comfort food culture with a warm, unpretentious dining atmosphere that feels like a cozy neighborhood gathering spot. Specializing in homestyle dishes with a twist, this charming restaurant invites guests to dive into hearty flavors and locally inspired classics that satisfy both the soul and the appetite.
The restaurant’s signature dish, the Booyah—a rich, slow-simmered stew brimming with tender meats and vegetables—lives up to its reputation as “chicken soup on steroids,” delivering a deeply savory, soul-warming experience that keeps visitors coming back. Pair that with crispy, squeaky Remonds Deep Fried Cheese Curds that offer an irresistible golden crunch with a gooey center, and you have a winning combination that perfectly captures Wisconsin’s culinary spirit.
Beyond these standouts, The Booyah Shed’s menu reads like a comfort-food lover’s dream. The Stuffed Tots and Chili Cheese Fries are indulgently topped with homemade chili, shredded cheese, tangy sour cream, and a kick of jalapeño, evoking a harmony of textures and bold flavors with every bite. If you crave something classic, the Bacon Cheeseburger or the Fabulous Hamburger topped with a fried egg bring a satisfying blend of smoky, savory, and rich notes, all served with crispy fries or golden tater tots.
Seafood lovers will appreciate the Fish Tacos and Catfish Plate, each dish cooked to flaky perfection, balancing bright, fresh ingredients with just the right seasoning. Meanwhile, the Perky Porter Pulled Pork Sandwich and pulled pork tacos have earned raves for their tender, flavorful meat that tastes like slow-smoked heaven.
Dessert at The Booyah Shed is equally memorable. Indulgent treats like the Grasshopper Ice Cream Sandwich, Door County Cherry Pie, and moist Carrot Cake with a delicately sweet icing provide the perfect sweet note to conclude a satisfying meal. Homemade ice cream served with pie is another standout feature, offering creamy, handcrafted flavors made with care.
The beverage options keep it simple with classics like Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, and chocolate milk—the perfect way to wash down a meal that’s as comforting as it is flavorful.

I was attending a conference at a hotel near this restaurant, and needed to grab a quick lunch in between events. Wanting to try some of the local flavors as a tourist from NY, this place seemed like a great fit! The service was extremely friendly and my food was served quickly. I got the booyah of course, cheese curds, and the Door county cherry pie. Everything was delicious and for under $20 it was an absolute steal! I noticed that they also serve cocktails, and they are only $6, so I will definitely be back before I leave Green Bay. HIGHLY recommend the Booyah Shed!
Just enjoyed a great Friday perch fry at The Booyah Shed. Thanks to Dan the owner who posted a Reel letting us know what he was cooking. This wasn't our first visit. Some of my other favorites are cheese curbs that cooked perfectly. The pulled pork sandwich and the pulled pork nachos are so good, the meat is so tender and flavorful. Dan also fries up a tasty Reuben. Not to be forgotten is the signature Booyah, excellent comfort food. The booyah is available hot or you can get it refrigerated of frozen to take it to go. The menu is large and the food is reasonably priced. The friendly and fun staff make it a pleasure to dine there.
Best hidden secret in green bay that has just about anything you could think of that constitutes as comfort food. We got the Booyah... Had to, it's in their name. Absolutely delicious, they like to call it chicken soup on steroids We also got the pulled pork tacos.... Better than most meat places I have gone. Also we tried the carrot cake and it was super moist, and the icing wasn't too sweet like most. Lastly the place just feels so welcoming, staff are super friendly and willing to joke too If I ever make it back to Wisconsin I will be sure to return to this place to try a few more things on their giant menu.
The perfect place to get your Booyah! Also the curds are great! It’s a small little place and super simple but it’s great! Parking was easy . We went at lunch on a weekday. Service was quick.
It's the Booyah Shed!!! We loved this place. Nothing fancy, but delicious food in a family-friendly atmosphere.
The place was packed when we arrived with a queue as well as when we left. The Boo Yah is delicious and local to Green Bay as were the homemade popper tots and Friday fish fry. The staff were super friendly serving all sorts of NFL fans in tiwn for the NFL draft.
The Booyah Shed is a small, countryside eatery in Green Bay, WI. Its bright colored walls house a small eating area and a friendly service/kitchen crew. The standout was their homemade cherry pie. The crust was flaky and the filling was full of deep, rich cherry flavors. The bowl of Booyah ($5.75) was heartwarming, filling, and a great value. The stew/soup was mildly seasoned with chicken, large chunks of potatoes, carrots, beans, and other vegetables. I found it needed more seasoning/pepper to elevate the flavor, but it was still satisfying. The blackened shrimp tacos were covered with a bright and acidic mango, strawberry, and jalapeño salsa. While the salsa was good, it unfortunately overwhelmed the shrimp's flavor. The flour tortilla was also slightly gummy. Note for first-time eaters: Ask the front window for the free gift - prepare to be entertained! Special thanks to Katrina for the great recommendations and the entertaining time when dolling out our first-time visitor gifts!
Amazing experience. Cryss the waitress/hostess… (yes I spelled that right) was amazing. Apparently all the burgers are handpattied! Home made booyah, homemade basically everything. This place is great and accommodating for everyone even for people with gluten allergies. 100% recommend.
